A YEAR OF EVOLUTION AND TRANSFORMATION FOR INS QUÉBEC

Armed with a new strategic plan that took effect in 2022-2023, the Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec) reaffirmed its commitment at its Annual General Meeting on June 14 to continue to provide better support for athletes, coaches and partners, to maintain and diversify collaboration, and to consolidate and extend its outreach. The Institut intends to continue evolving and transforming itself to meet the needs of the sporting community, while maintaining its role as a leader in the development of excellence in sport.

In an ever-changing sports environment, INS Québec wants to be a committed and proactive player in the transformation of the sports community. The team at INS Québec is multi-skilled and agile, ready to transform and adapt to meet the changing needs of athletes and partners.

Jean R. Dupré, Chair of the INS Québec Board of Directors, said:

“INS Québec is constantly seeking to do better and to do more to support the development of excellence of high-performance athletes and those of the next generation. We are determined to meet the challenges ahead and remain a leader in the field of sports and human performance.”

Gaëtan Robitaille, President and CEO of INS Québec, added:

A Last AGM as CEO for Gaëtan Robitaille

The 2023 AGM was Gaëtan Robitaille’s last as CEO. He will however remain involved as a strategic advisor until the end of his mandate in autumn 2024. His successor will be Marc Desjardins as of July 31st. Jean R. Dupré expressed his gratitude to Gaëtan Robitaille:

“We would like to thank Gaëtan for his twelve years of dedication to INS Québec. He has been a cornerstone in the evolution and transformation of our organization.”

Stability on the Board of Directors

There were no changes to the INS Québec Board of Directors as six members completed their terms of office. Having all agreed to continue their involvement, these volunteers were re-elected. They are Émilie Bundock, Benoit Huot, Nathalie Joncas, Mélanie Marois, Jean-Philippe Normandeau and François Racine.
