A TRANSATLANTIC ALLISANCE FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE SPORT:
INS QUÉBEC JOINS FORCE WITH LEADIN ORGANIZATIONS IN GERMANY

Innovation and excellence cross borders: INS Québec has just announced a bold partnership with the Landessportverband BW(LSVBW), the state sports association of Baden-Württemberg, and Olympiastützpunkt Stuttgart, an internationally renowned multisport center located in the region’s capital. This new agreement marks a key step in the quest for performance by athletes and teams on both sides of the Atlantic.

Marc Desjardins, President & CEO, INS Québec and Jürgen Scholz,

CEO of LSVBW, mark the official signing of the cooperation agreement between the two organizations.

Far from being a mere formality, this collaboration opens up an infinite range of possibilities. It will not only enable the development of cutting-edge services for top-level sport, but also foster exchanges rich in learning: training techniques, medical-sports innovations, training programs for coaches and much more.

For Roger Archambault, Vice President, Performance Services at INS Québec, this agreement represents a unique opportunity: “When they are in Europe for training courses or competitions, our teams will now be able to count on world-class services and exceptional infrastructures. With the 2030 Winter Olympics awarded to France, this region will become a strategic crossroads for the preparation of our athletes.”

And that’s not all. The 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, followed by a new edition in the same region in 2034, will place southwest Germany at the heart of the world sporting stage. Thanks to this partnership, Canadian athletes will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, medical services in case of need, and a solid base for their preparations on European soil.

But this exchange is a two-way street. German athletes coming to Montreal will also benefit from privileged access to INS Québec’s facilities and the recognized expertise of its specialists in sports medicine and science.

“INS Québec’s ambition is to remain a world leader in services offered to athletes and coaches. This agreement is perfectly in line with this vision, creating bridges to excellence and strengthening our international network,” emphasizes Marc Desjardins, President and CEO of INS Québec.

LSVBW CEO Jürgen Scholz agrees: “The cooperation with the Institut national du sport du Québec opens up new opportunities for the sport in Baden-Wurttemberg. One on hand athletes can prepare for the season or for international championships at training camp in Canada, and Canadian athletes are also welcome here. For the coaches, but also for scientists and doctors, this agreement also provides for an exchange in workshops that will help everyone.”

Together, INS Québec, Landessportverband BW and Olympiastützpunkt Stuttgart are laying the foundations for a collaboration in which every exchange, every project, will take athletes even higher, even further. A new era is beginning for top-level sport, and it’s being written in both Québec and Germany.
